Austin FC vs FC Dallas

Over twenty-thousand fans packed into Q2 Stadium to witness Austin host Dallas.

Austin coming off a win against Montreal while Dallas took a lost against Vancouver.

Both teams had opportunities in the first half but weren’t able to capitalize before the half-time whistle. They went to the break 0-0 knowing something had to change for the second 45.

Q2 was silenced in the 58th minute of the game as Paulo Arriola scored off of a rebound from Austin’s goalkeeper Brad Stuver. Dallas would once more silence the Verde & Black fans when substitute Brandon Servania managed to get all the way through the defense and find the back of the net.

It only took Austin FC 4 minutes to manage a way to get back into the game. Sebastian Driussi was able to find the back of the net in the 72nd minute of the game. Austin wasn’t done yet, as Danny Hoesen would tie it all up In the 85th minute of the game with a header coming off of a pass from Nick Lima.

A game with high and lows coming all in the second half for both teams. Dallas was unable to hold their 2-goal lead and let 3 points slip out of their hands. Meanwhile Austin made sure not to disappoint their fans at home by coming back and earning at a point against their Texas rivals.
