Mexico vs Nigeria
The Mextour began in Dallas, Texas where Mexico went up against Nigeria. 56,872 fans filled up the AT&T stadium, excited to finally watch their team once again.
The game began and Mexico started strong, attacking heavily giving them a quick 1-0 lead by Santi Jiménez. El Tri had many more close shots at goal but were unlucky to make another before the half.
The second half began, this time Nigeria came out fighting and stunning Mexico by scoring in the first 13mins of the second half. La selección clearly not happy came back 2 minutes after Nigeria tying, Gallardo crosses the ball where Nigeria Captain William Troost-Ekong gave away an own goal. The crowd roared with happiness and the party was back on.
The rest of the game was more passive but El Tri kept the dominance. The stadium dominated by Mexican fans, sang the whole time accompanied by a drum reminding us that the World Cup would soon return.
